Causes for foot pain are many like ingrown toenail, fungal infections, callus etc. All of these definitely need to be treated with a physician’s help. However there are also few instances the pain is caused when you try to fit in your foot in a shoes that isn’t made for you or due to fatigue, old age and so on. These kind of common foot pain doesn’t take much time and energy to be treated, all it needs is a good foot massage or manicure or may be just resting your foot in a bucket of warm water.
There are times when we can do it by ourselves but about those times when you are way too tired and you have none to help you? Well don’t worry read on to find some exciting and easy ways to treat your foot:
Soaking your feet in hot water: This is the best treat you can ever give to your feet.
  • Take some moderately cold water in a basin and soak your feet in it for about 15 mins
  • Once thats done switch it over to a bowl of hot water (hot enough to relax your foot). Let your foot sit in the hot water for about 15 mins.
  • If possible add some salt to this water as it will help killing all unwanted bacteria. this tip will also aid in keeping away from any sort of foot infections.
  • If you could afford, try to purchase essential oils like peppermint oil, rosemary oil, eucalyptus oil and lavender oil(for aroma).
  • Add few drops of each of the oil in the hot water and rest your foot in it for about 15-20 mins
  • This trick helps in improving the blood flow in your feet and thus aiding in instant relief from the foot pain.
Foot Massage: The word itself feels like an instant relief isn’t it? Well it definitely is. As mentioned above you may be too tired to massage your own feet and during those times its best to use a massage roller or any of the foot massaging machines that will aid in instant relief. If you do not like to invest in those massage equipments then you can use tennis ball, rolling pins or golf ball. Keep these tiny balls below your bare feet and roll it over the balls. This will also give a relaxing effect. To add on to the relaxation you can use the following tips:
Tip 1:
  • Take a tbsp og chamomile oil, lavender oil, geranium oil in a bowl
  • ‘To this add 2 tbsp of olive oil and mix it well
  • Apply this mixture on your feet and massage it in a circular motion.
Tip 2:
  • Take few drops of clove oil in a bowl and add about 2 tbsp of sesame oil to it
  • Mix it well and massage this mixture on your feet. Especially over the area that is aching.
Foot  workout: Like the rest of your body your foot also needs a good workout. check out few videos available on the internet or ask your doctor to help with some foot workouts. follow it regularly to get rid of the pain permanently.
Apart from these you can also:
  1. Grab a pair of shoe inserts thats easily available at any local medical stores. The shoe inserts acts as perfect solution for those who have fallen arches or flat foot.
  2. Apart from the foot work out also check out for few heel soothing workouts and do it regularly. This is especially for those that love wearing high heels on a daily basis.
  3. Try covering your foot as much as possible as it will help retain the moisture and keep it from getting dry and cracked. Use moisturizer wherever the foot is dry and cracked also try to use some foot balm before the matter gets worst.
  4. Wear clean socks every day
  5. Wash your feet regularly
  6. Use antibacterial products to wash your feet.
