How to Remove Stretch Marks At Home

Stretch marks are nothing but visible white lines formed on the skin surface during a sudden change in body size be it rapid weight gain or weight loss. Here are some of the kitchen secrets and general tips shared to help you improve your skin appearance.

Moisturizers:

Yes!!! Moisturizers can really help remove stretch marks off your skin when applied on a daily basis after bathing. For this, you will have to go buy moisturizers with products that contain cocoa butter or shea butter, Vitamin C as a prime ingredient. Massage the moisturizer deep into breasts, belly, hips, and buttocks which are the body parts that are generally prone to stretch marks.

 Oil massages:

Oil massages are a traditional methods used by ancient people on a daily basis to get rid of stretch marks and is also associated with the benefits of exfoliation dead skin cells, enhance blood circulation and improves skin texture too making it smooth and lustrous.
All you need is single or combinations of wheat germ oil, almond oil, vitamin E oil, sesame oil, olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil or any oil of your choice and that suits your skin type. Gently massage the oil to your body or affected areas and leave it for an hour before bathing and wash off using a gram flour scrub.

Vitamin C:

Intake of food sources rich in vitamin C like lemons, oranges, helps your skin get rid of stretch marks eventually.

 Potato:

Potato – the readily available veggie in every kitchen has the vitamins and minerals to ward off the off-color visible stretch marks. All you have to do is cut potato into medium thick slices and rub it gently on the affected skin for a few minutes, dry for some time and wash off.

 Aloe Vera:

I seriously recommend you guys to grow Aloe Vera in your gardens. Aloe Vera leaf has a sticky translucent pulp that has many healing and soothing compounds and properties when used both internally and externally.  It’s a tonic for skin and keeps you out of all the skin diseases.
Thus, Aloe Vera is also beneficial for Stretch marks.  Peel some Aloe Vera gel off the leaves and directly rub gel on the affected skin area and leave it for a few minutes and wash off.
Or
Mix one cup of aloe vera gel + 2tsp Vitamin E oil. Daily rub this mixture onto the skin until fully absorbed, you will soon see the change.

 Water:

This may not seem like a tip, but yes water has that magical properties to keep your body hydrated at all times by detoxifying your skin pores and restoring  elasticity, which ultimately helps you get rid of stretch marks. Sip some water every 30 minutes.
